New State-of-the Art Warehouse Facility for Alloga UK - AP8
Alloga UK is pleased to announce the investment approval for our next warehouse - AP8.
Alloga UK’s company strategy is one of growth and continued investment for a sound future. The Company now needs to further expand its storage capacity in order to accommodate growth from new business, post Brexit and Covid-19 stock builds and increase in volumes from existing clients to provide capacity for continued growth beyond 2020.
AP8 is already built and located on Derby Commercial Park which is 20 miles south of the current Alloga UK campus in South Normanton, Derbyshire. AP8 has good links with the M1 and M6 motorways and is 2 miles east of the city of Derby facilitating access to a broader working population. The distribution site has been developed by Panattoni (the world’s largest privately owned industrial developer) and is almost double the size of Alloga UK’s current warehouses, allowing us much needed new capacity for sustained future growth.
The site specification includes:
- 371,000 sq ft (34,466 sq m) of warehouse space
- 15m high to haunch (3m higher than our current warehouses)
- c70,000 pallet locations
- BREEAM (environmental) status of ‘Very Good’
- Administration offices over 3 floors
- Warehouse office hub over 2 floors
- 74 HGV lorry parking spaces and 270 car parking spaces
- 24 dock level doors, 8 double deck docks and 3 level access doors.
The fit out of AP8 to pharmaceutical grade warehousing will commence in December and complete mid-2021. When it opens in 2021, AP8 will take our overall warehouse square footage to 1.78 million and create an overall capacity of over 280,000 pallet spaces.
